The 2025–2026 teaching cycle concluded with teachings and offerings at our annual May Retreat held in Minnesota. Khenpo Sherab Sangpo offered teachings on Taking Happiness and Suffering as the Path by Dodrupchen Rinpoche. This teaching directly trains the mind to reverse its habitual patterns. Happiness becomes a cause for gratitude and generosity, while suffering becomes a cause for bodhicitta and compassion. When both happiness and suffering are embraced as the path, there is no moment outside of practice—every situation becomes meaningful. This is especially important for modern practitioners who cannot live in perfect retreat conditions.
The flower offering ritual from the Chöjuk Metok was performed alongside these precious teachings. The shrine was beautifully adorned with a wide variety of floral arrangements, creating a vibrant display of color and fragrance. As part of the ritual, attendees recited select chapters from A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life by Shantideva.
