In this meditation teaching, Khenpo Sherab Sangpo, a Buddhist teacher and Tibetan Buddhist monk, teaches his students on three levels of self-liberation of thoughts as they arise: the first and highest level is great masters who dwell at all times in the self-perfected nature, the source of all samsara and nirvana; the second level is those of intermediate capacity who via contemplation see the empty nature of mind and are able to liberate thoughts and afflictions upon arising; and the third level is the beginning level of students who via mindfulness do their best not to follow thoughts and afflictive emotions, using perception to practice liberating all that arises in the mind. At the end of the teaching, Khenpo-la guides his students in a subtle energy body meditation combining the breath with a visualization on the three channels. The teaching ends with chanting of Chenrezig’s mantra of compassion, OM MANI PADME HUM, dedicated to the well-being of all those who are suffering in the world.
