Khenpo Sherab Sangpo, Spiritual Director, of Bodhicitta Sangha | Heart of Enlightenment Institute in Minneapolis, MN, teaches three main topics in this video. He first discusses the qualities that the Buddha gave for a student to fully receive his teachings, the source of ultimate happiness. This includes having a pure motivation and being like a vessel that can contain the essence of the teachings that the teacher pours into the student from his/her wisdom. The second topic are teachings and guided meditation instructions on leaving the mind in its natural state. He quotes Longchenpa, a great Nyingma Buddhist master, who taught his students not to alter the mind, do not grasp, and leave the mind in its essence. In conclusion, he talks about the qualities, a mind permeated by bodhicitta, that a Buddhist teacher must have to help his/her students.
